Venture capital investment at $107 million in Q4-2017

MHTA — Minnesota companies raised $107 million in venture capital in the fourth quarter of 2017, according to data from PricewaterhouseCoopers and CB Insights. 2017 venture capital investments totaled $479 million.

Top industries for venture capital in Q4-2017 included:

  •     Healthcare: 4 deals worth $90 million
  •     Internet: 2 deals worth $17 million
  •     Consumer Products & Services: 1 deal, amount not disclosed

There were 2 later stage deals totaling $55 million, 4 deals with early-stage companies worth $50 million, and 1 expansion stage deal worth $1 million.
