MHTA – Entrepreneurs’ Organization Minnesota (EO) will present Entrepreneurs Rally March 13 at CoCo Minneapolis. Organizers call it an evening designed to inject cutting-edge business thought into the entrepreneurial scene. They plan to bring together early stage entrepreneurs, CEOs and mentors for think-tank style inspiration and guidance.

State budget surplus continues
MHTA – Minnesota state finance leaders say the budget surplus first announced at the end of the year has improved by $323 million. The latest budget forecast means revenues continue to exceed expenditures and points to improvements in both the state and national economy.

AT&T invests $425M in Minnesota
AT&T invested nearly $425 million in its Minnesota wireless and wireline networks from 2009 through 2011 with a focus on improving the company’s mobile broadband coverage and overall performance of its networks according to a statement from the company.

MHTA – Members of the Minnesota High Tech Association can receive a discount on registration for the 12th Annual ChangeMakers breakfast March 7 at the Minneapolis Hilton hotel. The event will tackle issues important to all Minnesotans from the perspective of the innovation economy. It will begin with a welcome address by Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton followed by a panel of CEOs, including Mary Brainerd of HealthParners, Best Buy’s Brian Dunn, Compellent and Xiotech Founder Phil Soran and Bahram Akradi of Life Time Fitness.
