Rosentone stresses business relations

MHTA – Steven Rosenstone, the new Chancellor of the Minnesota State pledge to deliver future innovators to Minnesota businesses in a speech to MHTA members. Rosenstone spoke to a diverse group of business leaders, educators and policy makers at St. Paul College and laid out his vision to educate Minnesota’s future workforce and partner with the business community.

Humphrey plans Education Innovation series

MHTA – The University of Minnesota Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, in conjunction with its partners, is presenting a series of event focus on education innovation. The series will explore ideas for bringing innovation to education through collaboration, planning and action. Each event will act as a launching point as part of a larger process of developing positive change in education.

State gains jobs in February

MHTA – Minnesota employers added 6,200 jobs in February, according to figures released by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). The state has added 32,300 jobs in the last three months and regained more than half of the 156,300 jobs that were lost during the recession.
