Robopocalypse author to keynote fall Robotics Alley Conference

MHTA – New York Times bestselling author Daniel Wilson will headline the 2012 Robotics Alley Conference later this year in Minneapolis. Wilson, who earned a Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, has published more than a dozen scientific papers and holds four patents. The conference is scheduled for November 14 and 15. Early-bird registration is currently available.

Thorpe outlines national robotics vision

MHTA – Minnesota and the Midwest should continue to work to establish the region as a leading center for robotics activity. That is just some of the advice offered by Chuck Thorpe to an audience of more than 100 at an MHTA Leadership Insights breakfast at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Thorpe is a science and technology advisor to the White House.
