MHTA – The Minnesota Vikings stadium debate may dominate legislative coverage, but negotiations continue on key issues including the Tax bill. Governor Mark Dayton vetoed the bill last week but his administration and legislative leaders have met to work on a compromise package. The Tax bill contains several measures important to MHTA’s legisaltive agenda.

MN Cup deadline is Friday
MHTA – Minnesotans with new and innovative business ideas have until the end of the week to enter the Minnesota Cup for a chance to make their dreams of launching a business a reality. The Minnesota Cup is a statewide entrepreneurial competition designed to seek out, support and accelerate the development of Minnesota’s newest and most innovative business ideas.
Legislative session continues
MHTA – Despite their best efforts, legislative leaders and the Governor were unable to resolve their differences in time for their self-declared April 30 deadline to adjourn. They are continuing to negotiate an end of session deal that could include tax, bonding and stadium bills.
Region ready for UAS growth
MHTA – When President Obama signed the FAA Modernization and Reform Act a few months ago, many people saw it as the end of years of aviation funding battles. But for the community plotting the growth of pilotless drones, the President’s signature represents another long-awaited development. The FAA will now begin integrating unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) into the national airspace.
