Andamio Games Receives Phase II SBIR Award from NSF

MHTA — Educational technology innovator Andamio Games has been awarded a $728,000 Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Science Foundation to support the development of collaborative games and a virtual lab environment for mobile devices that will help high school students learn difficult-to-teach STEM subjects.

Comcast increases internet speeds for many Twin Cities customers at no additional cost

Comcast has announced it is more than doubling the speed of its Performance 25 Xfinity Internet tier for existing customers in the Twin Cities area at no additional cost. Customers can now enjoy download speeds of up to 55 Mbps on the rebranded Performance Plus tier. In addition, current Performance Internet tier customers will see their download speeds increase from 50 Mbps to up to 70 Mbps at no additional cost. These new speeds are effective immediately.

Southern MN Ignite Cup Winner to be Automatic Semifinalist in MN Cup

A collaboration of community builders, including Red Wing Ignite, MN Cup, Mayo Clinic Business Accelerator, Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, and the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), have partnered together to host the Ignite Cup startup competition. The 2017 Ignite Cup is the second annual event, and the winner will be an automatic semifinalist in the MN Cup.
