MHTA – Earlier this year, Congress passed and the President signed into law the “Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012” which included $7 billion to build a nationwide wireless long term evolution emergency communications network. It also included grant funding for cities and municipalities for building-out the network.

Robotics industry off to a strong 2012
MHTA – Robotics companies are once again enjoying one of the industry’s strongest opening quarters ever, according to new statistics released from Robotic Industries Association (RIA), the industry’s trade group.
State exports set record
MHTA – Minnesota exports of agricultural, mining and manufactured products reached a record $20.3 billion last year, beating the previous record of $19.2 billion in 2008, according to figures released by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).
Dayton vetoes tax bill
MHTA – Before the Legislature adjourned last week, legislators made one last effort to pass a tax bill that might garner the Governor’s support. It included a number of provisions for which MHTA members have been advocating to strengthen Minnesota’s technology and innovation economy.
