Draft science standards available for review

MHTA – The first public draft of the Next Generation Science Standards is available for review from now until June 1. Minnesota is one of a few states recruited to help draft the standards. State education leaders are especially interested in hearing from business and technology professionals.

STEM legislation will strengthen MN’s global competitiveness

MHTA – STEM education and workforce preparation is critical if Minnesota is going to achieve MHTA’s vision of becoming one of the top 5 technology states by 2025. Several education bills passed the Legislature and were signed into law this year that will strengthen Minnesota students’ ability to compete in the global economy and prepare them to enter the STEM workforce.

MN team among national robotics winners

MHTA – A Maplewood high school team took first place at a recent national robotics championship. UC3 was among the teams involved in two days of intense robot gladiator competition in Indianapolis. The winners of the 2012 National Robotics League (NRL) Championships were announced on Sunday, May 6.
