The Minnesota High Tech Foundation (MHTF) is a nonprofit 501 (c) corporation founded in 1985 to promote and support excellence in science, math and technology education. The Foundation educates Minnesotans about the importance of a strong technology-based economy through outreach.

Each year MHTF administers a scholarship program for Minnesota college students pursuing degrees in STEM fields.  The application period for 2012 scholarships will open in March.  MHTF will provide an online application for interested students.  Scholarships are awarded each year during MHTA's Spring Conference and the Tekne Awards.

MHTF is also active promoting STEM education options for younger students and their families.  The Foundation recently hosted a STEM Expo in Minneapolis in partnership with the Minneapolis Public Schools, Minnesota Deparment of Employment and Economic Development and Minnesota Department of Education.
