Many Thanks to Kate Rubin for Her 9 Years of Outstanding Leadership!
On Wednesday, July 14, 2010, MHTA staff, board of directors, members, non-members, business leaders, educators, legislators and friends gathered at Padilla Speer Beardsley in downtown Minneapolis to celebrate and thank Kate Rubin for her many contributions to Minnesota's technology community during her tenure as President of MHTA.
It was a first class send-off as Kate gets settled in her new role as Vice President of Social Responsibility for UnitedHealth Group and President of the UnitedHealth Foundation. We are grateful for Kate's outstanding leadership for nine years!
During Kate's tenure, MHTA has made significant gains in promoting the growth, sustainability and global competitiveness of the state's technology-based economy. Dramatic expansion in programs occurred on her watch, including substantial public policy achievements and growth of MHTA's premier events - the Tekne Awards and Spring Conference. Kate spearheaded MHTA's initial leadership in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education. We're excited to build on these accomplishments and help create a brighter future for technology in Minnesota!
