Deadline approaching for Comcast Business Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs contest

March 10, 2015

MHTA — This is the final week to submit your application for the Comcast Business Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs Contest, held in conjunction with Inc. Magazine. We encourage local entrepreneurs to submit their innovative plans on how they would use $30,000 to invest in technology to take their business to the next level.

The Contest entry period ends on March 15, 2015 and is open to business owners at least 18 years of age or older that are located within the Comcast Business service area and own an independent, non-franchised business with 50 employees or less.

The essay entries will be judged and two winners will be selected in each of the 16 Comcast Business Regions: one Startup (in business less than 2 years) and one Entrepreneur (in business more than 2 years). Regional winners will receive a $10,000 cash award to implement their technology innovation ideas.

Regional winners will be announced on April 27, 2015, and all will be eligible to win one of 6 Grand Prizes. Grand prize winners receive an additional $20,000 cash award and a special trip to Comcast headquarters in Philadelphia on August 12 & 13, 2015. While there, they will meet with four Business Innovation Experts to discuss how to put their technology plan into action: Sam Schwartz, Chief Business Development Officer at Comcast Cable; Louis Toth, Managing Director for Comcast Ventures; Robert Irvine restaurateur, TV star and entrepreneur; and Patrick Fitzgerald, MB & Undergrad Entrepreneurship Lecturer at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania and DreamIt Ventures Managing Director.

Grand Prize winners will be announced on June 1, 2015. More information, contest rules and the online application can be found at business.comcast.com/i4E.
