MHTA’s Government Affairs committee works to effectively communicate the position of member companies on key legislative matters. The committee, which is currently chaired by David Minkkinen, is open to all MHTA members and meets every other week during Minnesota legislative sessions. When the legislature is not in session, the committee meetings are scheduled by the chair. If you are interested in participating, contact John Dukich, MHTA’s Director of Public Policy and Research.
MHTA believes that strong, consistent, focused leadership from the private sector, working in collaboration with academic, nonprofit and government partners, is the critical link in driving our state’s economic development and recognition as a global technology leader. MHTA will advocate policies that recognize the changing face of Minnesota’s workforce and the global realities of commerce in the 21st century. State and federal policies and practices must support global commerce.
