Public policy is at the core of the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA). As MHTA works to help make Minnesota a top-five science and technology state, we advocate for policies that enhance Minnesota’s economic competitiveness and foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.
Innovation is the lifeblood of a vibrant high tech economy. MHTA works tirelessly to support and enhance Minnesota’s culture of innovation. Through public policy engagement and a network of more than 300 member organizations, MHTA is a strong advocate for policies that foster a culture of innovation.
From federal to state and local levels of government, MHTA provides a strong voice for Minnesota’s high tech community. To improve our standing as a leading science and technology state, we speak with a unified voice on issues ranging from strengthen the research and development tax to developing and retaining Minnesota’s talented students and workforce in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
MHTA’s Government Affairs committee works to effectively communicate the position of member companies on key legislative matters. The committee is open to all MHTA members. It meets every other week during Minnesota legislative sessions. When the legislature is not in session, the committee meetings are scheduled by the chair. If you are interested in participating, contact John Dukich, MHTA’s manager of public policy.
MHTA is also a member of TECNA, the Technology Councils of North America, which offers peer-to-peer networking and regional initiatives to raise the visibility and viability of the technology industry.Become a member of MHTA
